The title seems kind of clickbaity so I'll try and do justice to the article. Hear me out - While I won't win any consistency awards (one of my big life struggles) there seems to be an oversimplification of what it takes to actually succeed and find fulfillment in Today's World.
Online we have been mobbed with more success advice than we can possibly make use of. At every turn we see everyone chipping in their piece of what success actually entails. A lot of what is out there is just repackaged rhetoric while some of it is borderline crazy. That said, one advice does stand tall above all others having made name for itself - Consistency.
Few object the consistency strategy because it actually works, for the most part. Yet I am of the opinion that being consistent could potentially fail if the right guidance is not provided. After all, some of the people at the lower end of the ladder just happen to be among the most hardworking and consistent you might come across. If we all won medals for simply showing up daily then am certain more unheralded people will be rewarded.
Truth be told, consistency speaks for itself. The reason it is so heralded I believe is because of who we potentially become from being consistent. The discipline it takes to follow through eventually makes us develop in other areas that inevitably produce results. That is the true value of being consistent. You might not hit your intended target, but you'll definitely see results if you choose to show up.
