Facebook DIEM and d-Yuan, scam before coins

in LeoFinance3 years ago

I'll prevent all crypto enthusiasts and purists who will comment here below:

"centralized digital coins are scam, anyway"

Ok, please, make a lot of comments 🥳 .

But my aim is just the opposite, let's try to cheat together the biggest centralized coins that companies and institutions are building. May be this new coins will help the world to become a better world, we hope so, and they'll surprise us, but now it's cheating time.

In the short time of 3 hours, today, I found two very well packaged scams.
Facebook Diem scam

The first hits Facebook Diem, the recently announced centralized digital coin by the Social Network and other fiat whales. The official website of the project is https://www.diem.com/en-us/.

Inside Media tab you can find this clear statement about the official website and the state of art of the project:

The statement is clear: there's no pre-sale, and this is the only official website.

But some smart guys, or better some regrettable scammers, invented this copy of official website and gently launched a pre-sale (gently, with your potential money):

Yeah buy Diem guys, and may be you'll find your bed full of gold tomorrow, or later next week. Using a Whois search engine I found this about owners:

We have some exotic scammers, laying down in a sunny beach.
d-Yuan scam

The government of China is working on a digital currency, the digital yuan, and is performing a lot of trials. They want to test a digital system which could support all days life and transactions, so they cannot release something unstable, hackable and so on.

But someone has built a sort of company, the Yuan Pay Group, that is doing the following:

they announce that "the wait is over"

they have a countdown which level up the price in 15 minutes (c'mon guys, what are you waiting for)

obviously, if you deposit fiat you'll have d-yuan, now.

Conclusion

Many people have no confidence with crypto currencies. They imagine decentralization as the Land of No One, where million of scammers are ready to steal their money. It is very probable that these people will easily trust a digital currency, better if centralized 😣 owned by Facebook or chinese government.

I think that this scams are very dangerous, because could hit a lot of newbies. Therefore I sent an alert to Diem project (the official one) about the scam I found.

A part from serious questions, we have scams before coins. Let's cheat together, and keep publishing.
