While waiting for the market to bottom out, I find precious metals a great place to divert some funds. As much as I like them, space is becoming an issue due to the sheer weight of actual metals.
A few weeks ago, I received a notification from APMEX about Mandolorian Beskar Bars. Being a Star Wars fan, I immediately jumped on the website to see their inventory. Unfortunately, the 10-oz bars sold out as soon as I tried to click on them. But, I was able to acquire a few 1-oz goodies still.
As always, I look for fun designs close to the spot price. The premiums on precious metals are so insane they bother me. This time, I found another piece from the Peanuts series.
A Buffalo Native American bar can never go wrong either.
Of course, I don't want my entire holding to be collectibles. I topped out the rest of my purchase with less exciting bars. The $200 minimum buy-in for free shipping and handling will do that to you.
I try not to splurge too much at this time. To me, it's better to build a better cash position as we approach the bottom of the BTC bear market later this year. Altcoins are another story. Cash is trash, but you'll need it to buy the dip. None of this is financial advice, of course.

I got them at around spot price. Now, they already cost at least $42 to get one.
A friend of mine also wanted the 10 oz. version of the Mandalorian bars said the same thing, all were gone in a matter of minutes soon after he was email alerted by Apmex themselves.

the star wars universe is pretty cool but the last two TV series: Boba Fett and Obi wan Kenobi are boring as all hell and a waste of time even when watching for free :P
