RE: Thoughts on SPS Validator nodes and License Presale

in LeoFinance2 years ago

Waka sales on wax were not a hit for whatever reason, but they were a hit on Splinterlands, they sold out super fast remember? In my opinion, there was no need for the wax sale.

Player growth aside, there are only going to be 60,000 nodes licenses, bro, I can bet that most maverick players want a piece of this,....I can bet that many existing players want a piece of this, I want a piece of this, thing is, it gives an opportunity of passive income, so the success really depends on the success of Sps in my opinion,

If SPS turns out to be really valuable down the line, then the nodes will be super worth it.

Side note:

Splinterlands has enriched a lot of its players, especially the Mavs, heck even me, but I just wouldn’t sell. But for those who could, this will be a piece of cake to them. 60,000 node licenses is not near enough

Mightbe you are right. (I was wrong about a lot of predictions to be honnest)

60.000 nodes for thousands of dollars a piece is a higher market cap than the SPS market cap at the moment.
I though the CL packs would sell out within hours, but there isn't enough money in the ecosystem.
So I think it will not sell out, mightbe during the pre-sale, but i even doubt that.
I Hope i'm wrong again.

15million packs was definitely a stretch, it’s the largest chunk they’ve ever beaten. But this is how the game will grow, they could have sold 2million packs and sold out fast, but the game wouldn’t grow like that. The markets will absorb the numbers and demand will again surpass supply. Most of us are just in a hurry.

I know a friend who invested around $2k and made $50k during the 2021 oct-nov run. He cashed out around 25k, he plans to get a couple of these nodes, he’s just one of the many players that made bank, they will not pass on it I can bet my gold......forget it I don’t have anything to bet on but you get the drift

Moreover, have you seen the what governance can do these days? What if there’s a proposal to burn the remaining packs all of a sudden, do you know the type of rush that will follow?

This is something governance can do, because I’m certain you’re also not the only one feeling the way you are. Def if you’re right, it’s going to spread like wild fire and who knows what the next stunt will be.

That is a great example of the usage of governance. I would like to see a proposal like this! I'm not sure what i would vote tho.
