We must have the self-motivation to reach our full potential and develop the skill sets. Otherwise we are delusionary if we think we can have that dream job. But what is a job. I would rather have a career. Most all jobs are a means to the end goal of having the resources and money. Yet, a career offers a certain gratification that money cannot buy and is a far better animal than a mere job.
It is semantics, but you are right, most people see a job 8includin me) as for money. I prefer the term "work" as it can be used for things that don't bring an income too. I think much of what is needed for a career, is work that builds the foundation to have one.
