While I'm still exploring other options in addition to Hive, it's difficult to argue with the allure of being properly compensated for your efforts. I have done more written in the last few months than the last few years simply because the associated curation rewards helped to justify the time spent.
In other words, Hive is capable of support the passions/hobbies of those with an interest in writing. To me, that seems like reason enough to continue investing in the platform.
