I've not been complaining about the speed although it hasn't been the best. However as you say, when it comes to financial transactions, time matters a lot, every second counts.
I'm always amazed how fast the dev team is working and how many new, much needed features are implemented in a short period of time.
Microblogging will bring a lot of new users, we can't afford to disappoint them from the start.

Performance is what users judge applications by. Most of us tolerated what took place here but that is not what we will have to do anymore.
Soon we will have faster features which is a bonus.
