According to the announcement published today, Bitstamp is one of only two major crypto exchanges that will support the distribution of BTC and BCH to Mt.Gox creditors.
Quoting the blog post on BItstamp:
Rehabilitation creditors who choose Bitstamp as their cryptocurrency exchange will receive the rehabilitation assets via their Bitstamp account.
Rehabilitation means repayment. How much, actually at what value, is hidden in the rules found at the MTGOX Online Rehabilitation Claim Filing System:
Bitcoin: the amount obtained by converting the Bitcoin price denominated in USD announced by CoinDesk at 23:59 on June 21, 2018 (Japan Time) to JPY using the exchange rate referred to in the above (a). (1 BTC＝6,724.57 USD = 749,318.83 JPY; 1 USD = 111.43 JPY)
Bitcoin Cash: the amount obtained by converting the Bitcoin Cash Price denominated in USD announced by CoinDesk at 23:59 on June 21, 2018 (Japan time) to JPY using the exchange rate referred to in the above (a). (1 BCH = 874.82 USD = 97,481.19 JPY; 1 USD = 111.43 JPY)

Who knows what investors will get out. However, it should be worth a fair amount due to the enormous appreciation over the years. I am however not familiar with what percentage of the initial allocation is available for redistribution to investors.
I believe that they will get their value according to the cut date as stated in the text on the claim registration page. So, not today's value but still good enough, I think :)
