Hive Dollar - Let's replace Tether

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Do you know, Tether is available on multiple blockchains as a stable coin? It's on TRON, Ethereum, and few other blockchains and working as a stablecoin. And it has managed to hold a lot of funds from various parts of the world and locked many businesses into them. In fact, SWIFT and other international remit houses use Tether these days.

Imagine if HBD gets to pair with other blockchains to have a stablecoin pair? What's the best part in it? Here the HBD gets to have the stablecoin in multiple blockchain ecosystem which means more cashflow on Hive.

Not just that this would attract more external developers and the companies who may help the Hive get the adoption to the much needed metaverse and blockchain gaming projects.

Who should HBD pair up with in future? Let's discuss.

What if HBD pairs up with BUSD?

Currently we have the CUB into the binance platform. And this would attract a better pair with HBD/BUSD in it. Which would make many people invest into both chains. Plus, binance is a robust exchange, though it's shady and centralized. It's useful and it's gaining traction every month.

By making sure HBD gets into the Binance ecosystem we can seriously see some strong movement of the Hive ecosystem on binance. This would also make it easier for the binance game developers to jump into the Hive blockchain.

HBD on Heco chain?

Most of the Asian users like me are aware of the Houbi exchange and their respective Heco chain. The way the chain is attracting the users makes me wonder how useful it would be for many Chinese Hive users who can use HBD in the games and marketplaces on this chain.

I feel the Heco chain seems to be not much use in the SEA region exchange area and also the game developers from that part. However, many of those regions games, NFTs are popular outside to the rest of the world, and HBD adoption in a pair would benefit.

HBD adoption needs to take off

HBD is one of the stablecoin that has gained much press since the APY increase last week. I think what we are missing now is the adoption and the more blockchains to come up for the pair integration.

Much improvement may happen on hive if the HBD gets the attention it deserves. I feel that hive dollar can be really useful stablecoin compared to many other solutions out there.

What do you think?

Do you feel that hive dollar has the power and means to beat the Tether? What seems to be the missing link to the adoption of Hive dollar on the web3?

I think you hit upon some find points. The potential, at the level you are describing is terrific. Then we have some even bigger markets to go after. This is really going to be interesting if we can get some pieces in place.

BUSD paid will likely come as the there will be a bHBD pool on Cubfinance at some point. We just need to keep working through the process.

I think the potential is there for HBD to replace Tether. One of the main issues with that is liquidity. There's simply not enough HBD available. Unlike Tether, you can't just print a trillion dollars worth of HBD on a whim.

The pHBD-USDC pool is going to help a lot though.
