COS, the premium brand of the H&M Group, joined VeChain's services to take advantage of the benefits of its public blockchain network for supply chain monitoring and sustainability management.
VeChain is a Singaporean distributed ledger technology (DLT) project that provides better services to the clients of firms that adhere to its services. COS will seek to improve its "Premium" profile through the authenticity and sustainability of its raw materials.
After the European pilot with the H&M Arket, COS moved forward with the adoption and launch with the use of VeChain software and hardware through the VeChain Toolchain application.
The long-sought sustainability by companies requires Artificial Intelligence and blockchain to spread awareness, communicate and educate customers.
The system allows loading of unique product data and traceability information. COS links its textile products with QR or NFL tags, which are scanned by customers to see the history of the product since its manufacture, including images and videos of the process.
From the COS team they hinted that in the future they could use VeChainThor Blockchain to improve the reselling experience for their customers. Finally, they plan to strengthen internal traceability, as other companies have already done, which may choose to retain data internally for their supply chain, for auditing purposes, or as part of their brand expansion.
