One of the biggest value-adds for Hive is that the HIVE token distribution is highly decentralised.
Like you said, the grassroots community comes from every corner of the globe and the rewards pool model allows for a distribution model that other blockchains/coins can't achieve.
Add to the fact that HIVE's distribution is even more decentralised following the Steem fork when Steemit's ninja-mined stake became the DHF.
This is a huge advantage that Hive has over other crypto projects.

It's a pity that it is undervalued at the moment, but the day will come when Hive will be everywhere and everyone will want to join.
