I am teaching a homeschool coop class this year on 20th Century World History (poor kids, I warned them the century was pretty grim, but also pretty amazing) and the fall semester was 1900-WWII. When I teach WWI I point out how it was a stupid, avoidable war that wasted lives and accomplished nothing except to make WWII inevitable. It was a textbook case study in how NOT to wage war. A sort of anti-Sun Tzu's "Art of War."
I would contend that inflation caused by governments is bad. We need a better word for crypto inflation to distinguish it from the kind used by dictators and politicians.
