Today was a crazy crypto day that we haven't seen for a while. Hive reached 0.36 cents and dropped back to 0.37 cents, which still is a pump compared to .02 cents that i was a couple of weeks ago. One thing that we all can agree though is that Hive's price should have been way higher and ofc more people should be around.
I honestly believe that Hive should have been at least 1$ and i strongly believe that currently is one of the best crypto and crypto platforms out there. We should have been in top 10-50 crypto out there. Besides the fact that everyone can earn money, day one without investing anything there are different ways to do it.
From posting and commenting to literally investing a certain amount and enjoying either 3% APR on Hive or 20% APR on HBD. Even if he/she doesn't want to do any of that, he/she can simply play games and earn! There is a variety in earning and as i said anyone can do it even without investing a single $.
The sad reality though that we all need to accept is that in order for Hive to succeed at our current level we need good marketing and in my opinion more Dapps to be built. So except for new members who will play, write and in general interact we need builders and investors. To attract all of them we need better marketing.
In our current era, social media and in general Web2 is one of the main and most certain ways to attract people. Even though i believe web3, Hive are way better than any of the current web2 platforms we still need them because mostly nobody knows us or even some people who know us may get afraid of the whole crypto stuff.
We need to bombard Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok with relevant posts promoting Hive and the ecosystem around Hive in general. I don't mean to become annoying making people consider us a scam but we need a way to show them the benefits in a way that they will come for a test ride. Ofc some of them will stay and some of them will leave but still better than zero.
For example, before i joined STEEM (Hive now), i was one of the veterans here, i was extremely reluctant because i could not believe and comprehend how would i earn money from literally posting anything that i wanted to without investing money or having let's say a good CV or expertise.
I believed that it was a scam. It took me 1 month to create an account, so imagine how much i was afraid. Then when i made my first post and earned some money it made me stay forever. It's like the amount i earned or even the amount i have even if Hive reaches 10$ would make me quit my job to live comfortably but the fact that i can write anything that i want play a game, or simply make a comment and earn money from it made me see things differently.
We see people writing one comment after the other on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and still earn nothing. If i, that i am that hesitant, have seen a post about getting paid by simply making some comments i would definitely take a look and possibly try the platform as well. Thus, we need to focus on web2.
That isn't easy ofc but we all need including me to make more coordinated moves regarding our marketing strategy otherwise we will only get very few new people which isn't good long-term.. At the same time, we don't have to say bad things to anyone that uses Web2 on Web2 technologies. We may be certain that Hive is better than a web2 platform that doesn't mean that by saying to someone who is a loser because he uses Twitter will ever make him come to Hive. He will consider Hive a toxic community instead.
this is true, we need more people to get onboard, but the question is: what is the reason of onboarding them?
I didn't know that there are people who say negative things who use web 2.
i think the reason would be to come to a better place and earn money!
