Today i decided to create a different than my usual type of posts. Everything began a couple of days ago when i read @trumpam's post about a purchase of his that consisted of a bunch of Silver coins and bars. You can find the post by clicking here.
Now i don't know about you but i got quite amazed for 2 main reasons. The first one, if i understood correctly is that he managed to buy these silver coins and bars using Hive/HBD which is extremely awesome because it shows that you can use cryptos the same way you can use money and buy actual stuff.
Also, it's amazing to see buys/sells to happen in our Hive ecosystem and it shows once again the multiple potentials of Hive compared to many other cryptos. It's also tied to my latest post in which i am searching for people that sell stuff and i believe that someone MUST create a big marketplace with all of these people/businesses! Now the second thing that i amazed me was the actual silver coins/bars and their design to the point that i remembered that many years ago i actually tried to start collecting Silver coins but i was quite young and had no money. The result was to buy one and if i remembered correctly i may have another one but i could not find it.
I don't even remember how much did i pay for the coin. It was around 30-60 euros i think. Now by looking the above picture you many not understand a lot if you are not a Greek or a collector so basically this is a Special Olympics of Athens 2011 silver coin that is collectible and has a value on its back of 10 euros.
The bank of Greece issues these coins they have a certain number of mints, if i remember correctly it's 2000 for this coin and as you can see on my Certificate of Autheniticity (which increses the price of a coin i think, if exists) is mint number 1566.
Now as i mentioned i don't know for how much i bought it but i am confident that it was between 30-60 euros because as a young guy i really had no more money to spend! Now it is selling for 90-110 euros which i think it's pretty cool as the value has inceased quite a bit since then!
Also, some additional infos about the coin are that it's a round silver coin as you can see with a diameter of 40mm and weight of 34.10 grams. The edge shape is plain, it is 92.5 Silver and 7.5 Cooper and the designer is George Stamatopoulos.
Now 2 other relevant things that i would like to mention. This is my first post in the Silver community and because i got quite curious i would like for them to share posts or direct me to older ones about what to look when buying silver coins!
Also, i would like anyone that is selling silver coins from Europe to Europe to reach me out here or on discord (same name) because i am interested in the coming weeks/end of month if i find something that i like and affordable for me to purchace a silver coin or a bar with Hive or HBD!

That's what I like about this community having real world commerce between private parties and it would be a matter of time before businesses would on board too. I have bought and traded already.
