Lands will change everything, right now SL has a big market in trades not only in Dec but between players, with all the resources that lands will provide will be a huge new market to explore with huge potential gains until the discovery of the prices, in totems, artifacts and spells, even with the resources needed to build them.
Especially because you wont obtain the item you want, that randomness will provide value to every item crafted.
