That's hypocrisy on the highest level. Governments all over the world want more control and I think CBDC is their weapon to achieve it.

I'm glad you used the word "weapon".
Every tool humanity has invented for our advancement has also been weaponized and turned on us.
It's just as naive to think it won't happen to crypto as it was to think the internet wouldn't be used to spread misinformation.
We need to be very cautious how we proceed, and I don't think the masses are watching closely enough to see what's coming.
The places that embrace crypto now (like btc) may be some of the last bastions of liberty on the globe in few decades.
More importantly, though, those us us who are watching need to know how these tools work inside and out so we know how to disable them when they're turned on us.
