Introduction
Token launching events are exciting times for all in the crypto space - the team, investors and users alike. Its a time to mark the market entry of a fresh crypto project and it means a lot particularly to the stake holders. Uprock - Monetizing your spare data
The internet is now a tool that almost everyone with a smartphone makes use of everyday. Each time a user switches on their internet, various apps connect and access data in the global network. A few apps use data on the background and there is always some data to spare. The Uprock team came up with this innovative idea to reward internet users for their spare data when they download and install the Uprock app.
The Uprock app mines data off the global internet network when the user joins. In exchange for their valuable internet resource, users are rewarded with UPT tokens. If everyone joins this project, then the Uprock team hopes to decentralize the internet which it device serving as a node across the network.
Interestingly, the Uprock project started with a big blast as millions of users on the Solana blockchain voted for it during the voting period to determine new projects listing on the Solana blockchain. Uprock received more than 45 million community votes and came 2nd during that period of voting. From that time till now, the project continues to enjoy unprecedented community support and thrives.
Users have been mining the UPT token by simply putting on their internet connection after downloading and installing the app. There are other ways they also mine the tokens. When users bring in their friends and let them join by clicking the referral link, they earn additional UPT tokens. They also earn 1% of the mining rewards of the referrals.
The UPT tokens have been mined even since the project released their mobile app. However, since the UPT tokens have not been launched, the mined UPT tokens remained frozen in the apps of each user, awaiting this launching date. Its not surprising that many users that are part of this project were excited to learn of the date for UPT token generation Event.
What's planned for the TGE on 30th?
The uprock team recently did a live Space on X and released few details about the launching which is happening on the 30th of this month - May 2024. Some of the key details delivered to users includes the following:
- Launching price of UPT: The team aims to launch at a fair price which reflects the value of the project and what it was before now. While no specific price was mentioned, the launching price of UPT will remain the same as what it was when the corporate backers or investors purchased it. This will ensure the UPT does not launch at a price that will put the community at a disadvantage.
Remembering that recent projects launched at fairly high prices that only favoured VCs, Uproack is trying to correct a problem when tokens launch at high prices and subsequently devalue at a fast rate to the detriment of the community.
Events before 30th: The team are firing up excitement among its large following by keeping them busy with updates and other activities ahead of 30th. Teams from Jupiter Exchange and MeterorAG would do a live space to share their view and support of the launching event. The MeteroraAG will power the sniper bot which would be a useful tool for the community.
More rewards for community: There will be a liquidity pool for Meteora which would be created from the funds raised during launching. From this pool, more rewards would be distributed to members that stake their UPT tokens, ensuring that long-term commitment to the project brings bigger rewards for participants. The community would be given further briefing about future reward plans for UPT holders.
