I think an argument could be made that the unknown crypto gem you're looking for might be HIVE itself.
Even if governments bring out the CBDC style coin that you envision, then it will only empower truly decentralised, untouchable alternatives.
Of which HIVE ticks all the boxes that almost every other competitor with large pre-mines and centralised infrastructure cannot.
