Meditation session today went better than expected considering I had a verbal altercation with someone earlier. I expected I'd have a harder time pushing it out of my head, but I spent quite a bit of time thinking about calmer things (intermixed with the altercation). I'm getting better at this!
Now let's see whether I can apply it outside of meditation because I've been thinking about this altercation far more than I wanted to today.
I just remembered a movie I saw a few months ago. A lawyer used medication to get around the hectic nature of his job & was successful at it. He was finally able to have a work-life balance & created more time for his family.
