This week’s “Share Your Battle” challenge is all about the Antoid Platoon! This melee, fire based card is a very powerful one in my opinion. Especially in low mana battles this card can bring you onto the winning road but is not only usable in these situation! In this article we will discuss the perks of this card, talk about the surrounding cards that we are going to play with this card, our strategy and finally take a look at our glorious battle once again!

Antoid Platoon

Let’s talk about the pros and cons of the main card here: Antoid Platoon is a 4 mana cost card with the melee attacking style. On its base level it comes with only one attack, one speed 2 armor and 3 health. Maybe not the best stats for a tanky card but also not the worst if you consider that it has the Shield Ability. On the other hand I really think that this card starts to shine with higher levels! Already at level 4 we can bring its attack to 2, its speed up to 2 and its health up to 4 which is a major increase in my opinion. With the help of the Fire Summoner Tarsa we can increase its health and attack by additional points which makes this card a very great tank all of a sudden.

In its final form, this card can get up to 3 attack, 3 armor and 5 health which is being complimented by the Scavenge Ability which increases the health of this monster with each other monster that is dying on the field. All in all a very good alternative to all the tanks out there and definitely worth playing in low mana battles.

Radiated Brute

With the Fire Splinter it is all about damage dealing with Melee Monsters! That is why we need monsters in our team who are capable of attacking from the backline positions as well. One of these monsters is the radiated Bute with its Reach ability which allows this card to attack from the second position as well! I really like this card because it has also very nice tank attributes. It comes with 5 health and 2 melee attack which get both increased by one point due to Tarsa.

Furthermore, the development curve of this card is very nice. Already at level 4 we have te chance to deal 3 melee damage and get an additional speed as well as health. In its final form this card even makes a very good tank with 4 attacking damage, 6 health and 4 speed with the additional Enrage Ability which increases its stats once again when damaged.

Tenyii Striker

Continuing with the Attacking theme, we have Tenyii Striker. One of my most favorite Sneak attackers in this game. It is because like the Radiated Brute, this card can also be a very capable tank. This means that we now have three cards that can be potential tanks and are attacking from their individual position in every turn! On the base level this card comes already with 2 attack and 6 health.

With higher levels this card becomes insane! For instance it is getting up to 5 attacking damage, 4 speed and additional Dodge and Strike Back Abilities which will make interesting strategies in the future! In my opinion, this card is a must have in every Fire based team.

Uraeus

Keeping the Theme with Sneak Attackers rolling here! Uraeus is another great card to use with the Fire Splinter. Not only is this card a Sneak attacker but it also has one armor and cost only 3 mana. This means we can almost always play this card and it will almost always survive one hit because of its armor. On the base level it also comes with one attack and two speed but it quickly gets increased and we can end up with 3 melee attack, 4 speed and 4 health which is a big jump from the base level. Moreover, this card gets the Poison Ability along the way which helps us to make more damage in general!

Gargoya Devil

Coming to an end we needed to fill the board with cards that are capable of good damage. Because we were restricted not to use magic attacker, I chose the only card that was still in my price range: Gargoya Devil. Now I admit, that in the Fire Splitner, this card might be not the most effective choice because it is not a Melee Attacker. But the good thing about this card is that it is universally usable!

With its flying Ability and Close range Ability, this card is able to get into first positions battles but also will attack from the back because it is a Ranged attacker. This was the sole purpose of playing this card: We needed more damage on the board. Now this card comes with some disadvantages: For example it has only 3 health and only one armor for a card that is costing mana. On the other hand, if you protect it right, it will bring you some nice amount of extra damage.

Scorch Fiend

Last but not least we needed to fill the board! This is most perfectly done with a card that has no cost to it which is why I like to play the Scorch Fiend. In many situation the best position to play this card is the last position in order to protect ourselves from potential Sneak attackers that our opponent has played. We will se in the battle that this move was very important because we were able to protect our Gargoya Devil with this move! All in all I would say that this card is always useful to use if you still have room on the board. In the end this card is not costing you any mana!

Example Battle

Now finally, to the part we have all been waiting for: The Battle! In this specific battle we were not allowed to use Magic attackers and the mana cap was set for 28. Like I mentioned before, we managed to cap out our mana and were up against another Fire Player. This would show us who chose the better strategy going into this battle. Our opponent had a very solid team with a very similar strategy: Having a big tank in front with some Melee attackers in the back line. The problem with his line up was that he wasted a spot with his Ant Miners Card. While my “wasted” card was the Scorch Fiend that had the sole purpose of protecting from Sneak attackers, his “wasted” card was on the second to last position which did not help him too much. That is why we were able to quickly get rid of some of his Sneak attackers as well as his Tank. This ultimately secured us the win and left us only with one casuality!
