RE: Week through Adrian's Lenses (28 September - 4 October 2024)

Yes, the sentiment shifted again on Splinterlands after seeing this proposal. Where it started to be a little more positive, now I see enough people turn negative about the future of the company, again, and they have every right to be so.

The problem with passing or not passing the proposal is that if they really need to fire someone if it doesn't pass (likely more than one since cryptomancer is probably better paid than others), who's left to work? Matt said (I think in the Town Hall) they are left with 6 devs.

It's a big pay to be added onto by the DAO again, and it's not like the DAO has unlimited funds. In fact, if the proposal passes, the DAO won't afford to spend for anything else for a good while.

PayPal allowing BTC and ETH in wallets is a nice change, not that I use PayPal anymore. But a welcome change.

It can be, because it applies to merchants, not to regular users. Of course, with Paypal one has be weary about the long-term existence of their accounts. They might end up banned without explanation.

Commentrewarder I tried out today for the first time, we shall see how it goes...

Yep, it can be useful. But you should look into this, I think I read if their vote would be less than 0.001, they won't vote. That's where you should balance the beneficiary to set for them based on your regular author rewards, with the weight of your upvotes on comments.

Great post as always!

Thanks! Appreciate your comment!
