RE: Quantum Computing Decades or Years Away? And What That Means For AI.

in LeoFinance8 months ago (edited)

Current technology for GPUs or CPUs won't have any effect on bringing Quantum sooner or later. It's an entirely different architecture, incompatible with existing processors (or rather, existing processors are incompatible with the quantum processors).

But you are right to feel that way. It has been talked about for a while and "the public" can't see any results yet.

Sort:

oh I get it now... So that might mean they'll need to invent something entirely different that'll be compatible

Quantum technology will change a lot of things in the world. Some will invest in it to leap ahead, others will invest in it to protect what they already have from others who invest in quantum.

wow so that's going to be like the new nuclear weapon.. like how a country invests to look powerful and another invest to protect themselves from the other country who invested to look powerful 🤣

Could be powerful weapons. And unlike nuclear weapons, they will be used quite often, most likely.

then it could be a more major problem than Nuclear 🤯🤯🤯

It will also help in many domains. But so did nuclear plants...

yep. Exactly so did nuclear plants
