On the heels of the DeFi madness presently sweeping the cryptospace, a leaked screenshot of a Telegram group conversation has appeared online in which some Ethereum influencers and DeFi proponents were caught plotting to launch and dump a worthless token on unsuspecting Investors.

CryptoPotato reported, relying on the screenshot of the leaked conversations, that the plot was simple: to create a group of 50 'smart' people, create a token to be named FEW, airdrop some tokens to the few members on the group, build hype around the token, and then dump on it innocent investors once the price rallies significantly.
The evil plot would stupendously enrich the actors while the fingers of unlucky investors will be badly burnt, many losing their life savings in the process.
CryptoPotato named Anthony Sassano, DeFi Dude, Alex Masmej, Jordan Spence, Jesse Grushack, and others as some of the mastermind of the greedy plan.
It was also gathered that their actions were motivated by their inability to participate in the MEME airdrop which was now worth over a quarter of a million dollars. Precisely, DeFi Dude was caught as saying,
“First we get the members, then we airdrop, then – we figure out what the fuck we’re doing.”
Most shocking were the words of Anthony Sassano who disgustingly remarked, we need people to dump on. Although Sassano has come out to say that it was all a joke, many believe that it was an expensive joke, that is if it was ever a joke.
There is no doubt that with these recent revelations more investors will be cautious before putting money into novel DeFi tokens, for one cannot be too sure to determine legitimate projects and the ones whose founder are only interested in masterminding exit scams.
This is why people should be really careful. Instead of investing in these DeFi projects with high risk, i will rather buy $NOW and stake.
