To sell the idea of Hive, let's amplify the problems not being on Hive could cause. Remember you own your data, do you think people out there own their data?

That's a good one, yet it is not a real pain of people, they seem to like to give their data for free.
I am pointing hundreds of people who I interact with to HIVE and show it as a way out of the "normal" social media, where ypu get seen if you pay for it.

It is simple... nobody likes being cheated and it is very easy to make them see that their data is being used to make money by the companies, as well as used to rig elections (people tend not to like that their data was used politically without their consent). It becomes more painful when you tell them that they can be hacked because their data are stored in one network. If you paint Mack Zuckerberg to anyone in the proper way, they will stop using Facebook. Then you could do the hive trick.
