That is a great point. While Michael Saylor values decentralization of Bitcoin network, he seems to be ok with other networks being centralized as long as they use bitcoin.

Hive is great but will it ever beat a centralised social media I am not sure. I think governments will be very reluctant to have a platform without oversight. And unlike Bitcoin Hive could be shut down due to its infrastructure being vulnerable. Scaling with the number of transactions and data is again another issue. Bitcoin lightning over social media gives companies an easy way to make money and not feed off personal data - that's why he's suggesting adoption.
