You see! You are regurgitating what the legacy media has been feeding the populace. The same regime change in Syria, Iraq and Libya. Look how beautiful those countries are right now. The West has only brought destruction to these people.
You are viewing a single comment's thread from:
No. Syrian people were suffering because of Al-Assad who was supported by Russia and Iran. Iraqi people were suffering cos of Saddam Hussein. The only mistake the West made was to help overthrown Gaddafi. That was a big mistake.
Are the Iraqis better off than under Sadam Hussein?
Yeah, I think they are, as long as fundamentalists aren't taking over. Saddam was a homicidal maniac, and even though he might be dead by now, his psychopathic sons would've taken over. Gladly, the US Marines killed them.
Again, all these views are a result of what is portrayed in the legacy media. Have you made efforts to make friends with or, at least, talk to average Joe on the ground in these countries?
Many times and many people have escaped the opression. People I've met, talked who are from Arab countries, mostly hate their dictators, religious fundamentalists & Daesh of course.
I'm sure the percentage of these people compared to the entire population would be insignificant. We should be more open and expand our thoughts. Web3 has opened my eyes.
Still, you shouldn't turn away and close you eyes on injustice, torture and persecution. Web3 is great, I agree, but it's also used by the same brutal regimes that are oppressing normal people in Iran, NK, Russia. Stay smart.
