Why random? It's different destinations and various books being posted in their respective communities (but obviously appear in the general feeds too). They're not crypto/finance so may appear slightly out of place.

They form part of a larger project, and you can view replies of each for related videos/Threads, as well as long-form with them embedded.

As time goes on it might make more sense, and it's worth trying a few things out whilst we're building. For those interested, then they can get involved… others can scroll on.

I think Solymi was talking in general anyway, not those specific polls ;)

They feel quite random to me - like if you ask if I was in Soul, South Korea, and then in say Lima, Perú. I guess if people actually voted, you'd had loads of never beens, which wouldn't make them of much relevance. Or would it? That's why I scroll them, and now shared my opinion on them ;)

You can visit more than one destination. There are many places I've been / not been / enjoyed / not enjoyed. I thought it was quite straightforward… perhaps not!

Statistically, you will get many Not Been for most places (if all voted) but people who have been might be motivated to give their opinion. More likely it's people who have been and loved or hated it who will vote/comment and the rest will mostly ignore. (Same principle with books)

It's a bit shit now, but might have significance later on when there are more people in general, and with more interest in those areas. And I was just trying out a format, it can easily be tweaked or discarded…

Then maybe consider publishing them without the not been/not read options, no? You cannot easily filter it from the results, so the poll would look a tad more relevant.

It did cross my mind. I thought that would give the option for all to get involved if they wish, but may well skew the results as you say. That would also mean there could be a 4th option offering more range too. I guess it's more about potential conversation as much as the poll itself, but we'll see…
