This is an EXTREMELY important economic crisis playing out in real time.

Already we have the mainstream media (https://theprovince.com/news/as-hoarding-resurfaces-officials-and-experts-ask-for-calm-to-maintain-supply-chain-stability) claiming the empty shelves are being caused solely by increased demand, and have nothing to do with supply problems (like decreased production due to lockdowns and closures, or washed out highways). It's all because people are buying more than they should. Let me guess, limits and price controls next? Venezuela here we come :(
