In this post I am going to talk all about - "Ecency Points", my GOAL for these points and what my strategy would be in collecting these precious "Ecency Points". First thing first are you delegating HIVE POWER to @ecency account to earn Ecency Points? How do you leverage your ecency points & what's your strategy looking for these Ecency Points? And what's it's worth at the moment. Speaking of myself I currently #hodl around 353K+ ececny point and its worth is more that $700+ dollars and the game can be depicted in the following image. One can also know about how many points they #hodl by visting the ecency webportal and check on the wallet where it says "Ecency Points" & "Estimated Points Value"
Targeting 500K+ Points - My Strategy Ahead...
Lets talk a bit on as to how to earn these points. There are a couple of ways to earn these points and the simplest one is by delegating HIVE POWER to @ecency account. 100 points you get for every 1K HP delegated. And apart from that if you write your hive post using the ecency App you get 15 points, commenting post helps you earn 5 points, sharing post also get you some point in all there are many ways to earn the Ecency Points. Explore the App to learn about it. Now coming to the uses cases that these points provide. Yes there are many and some of them are tied to - Promote, Boost or Gifting the points to fellow mates here on #HIVE blockchain. I am mainly earning Ecency Points by delegating my HIVE POWER. At present I have delgated around 13K+ HP that get me around 1300 points daily. Apart from that I get more points on the usage, heartbeat, writing post from the ecency app and there are other factors to. Here is the recent summary of my Ecency Points::
As stated my plan is to accumulate around 500K+ Ecency Points and for that I will be leveraging the Ececny App as much as possible. I may further increase the delegation to bring to 15K+ mark but not beyond that for now. Also the delegation of HIVE POWER get you rewards in #HIVE on a daily basis and right now I am earning 3+ #hive daily on the delegation apart from earning points. Finally, on how I am leveraging the Ecency Point? I like the Boost functionality of the Ecency App and normally spend close to 250+ points for boosting my posts to get more visibility of my content. I have also used the point to promote my account as well. In all like spending the points and I am hoping that more use cases will be added so as to use these points. Oh and I forgot to tell that one can buy these points directly as via via the fiat and crypto I guess. There is a dedicated feature on the App to buying the Ecency Points. Before I end this post, all that I would say that now I have defined a GOAL on the Ecency Point that I would like to have in my wallet. I am laser-focused and will be working on the plan defined here, along with maintaining consistency and adapting as needed to achieve my goals effectively. That’s a whole chunk of points Man. I see many people are trying to exchange them but the current utility of promotions and how boost is the best fit that I bet many would come to realize in the future. I’m here still grinding out my first 10k this time as I’ve is it all for boosting and promotion in the past.

I understand that these Ecency points have some usecases, but where exactly does the 700$ evaluation come from ?
It seems to be pretty specific number for usecases that are not really that specific.
I couldn't find the token price on Hive-Engine either.

Tbh there is not significant usecase for ecency points and boost is also applicable only on ecency frontend. I'm trying to discourage you but this is what I think about ecency points.

I used to delegate HP also, but now I just use ecency to post and also for wallet.. so I get enough pnts for a boost in about 2-3 weeks.

The dilemma is why stockpile a token in a web3 ecosystem that is not tradable? Makes little sense in my opinion..
The points have values where one can promote and boost their Hive account..cheers
