Lets start with a quick refresher on Splinterlands: which is essentially a strategic trading card game that allows players to participate in battles against real opponents. The game features cards representing NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), and those who possess these cards are their true owners - #SPS is the governance token of the game and we have another in-game token which is #DEC. My favorite has been #SPS and for that reason, I continue to stake #SPS and my GOAL here is to have 400K+ #SPS staked. So definitely have a strategy to build and #hodl #SPS for sure. You can directly buy #SPS from internal market and the good news is that its currently trading at its all time low price, hence is a good opportunity to stack #SPS. Coming back to the main discussion point of this post which is with regards to another passive income stream that one can create on the #HIVE Blockchain & its like BECOME A MERCHANT but where, Yes none other then on the Splinterlands game trade or provide liquidity of your #grains with #dec to earn from the trading/swap fees.
The merchant guild invites you to participate in their collective Markets. Contribute your resources to Gyldorn's markets and earn a share of the merchant fees collected from swaps.
I had closed to 2 Million #grain ideal and what a way to earn from them by becoming a merchant. Here is my stake in the DEC-GRAIN pool::

MY SHARE: 0.177%
Your earnings from Merchant Fees will be determined by your market contribution & at the moment my contribution is close to 0.1% out of 1+ Billion grains in the liquidity pool. The more you contribute, the larger your share will be its that simple. There is a twist/warning though if you remove your shares within 30 days it will incur a 10% withdrawal fee! This fee goes to the remaining shareholders. So be vary about it and only provide liquidity if you are sure to be there for more than 30 days. In last 24 hours fees that was earned is close to $360+ dollars and if I take my share which is 0.177% then it would come out to be close to $0.60 cents - can I make it to a dollar that would be great. Hence moving forwards all my #grains earned would be redirected to this pool to generate yet another daily passive income stream here on #HIVE Blockchain... cheers
