I began this year with a goal to reach 150K+ Hive Power aka (HP) by the end of 2025. I’m happy to share that I’ve already achieved 200K+ HP and this was majorly due to 80K+ Hive Powered Up this month alone. Yes, that is correct the number is 80K+ HP that has been powered up from my account @gungunkrishu and the same is reflected in the above image taken from peakd analytics page. I started this month with having 121K+ HP and as of writing this article here is current HP stake...
Powered Up 80K+ HP this Month to Reach 200K+ HP - What NeXt?
Thers is around 6.9K+ liquid #HIVE as well, which I have kept at the moment for future opportunities, flexibility, and possible investments. To be precise, my main plan is, if HIVE pumps from here, then I will be converting some into HBD [Hive Backed Dollar] and park it in savings to earn the 15% APR [Annual Percentage Rate]. There was a time back then when I used to have 10K+ HBD in the savings accounts. But then had leveraged it to enter some other crypto projects like #RUNE, #COTI, #VIDYA, #VET & #VTHOR. Anyways foscusing on present, I plan to now build my HBD stake slowly and gradually and bring to the last level where it was i.e. 10K+ HBD into the savings account. Ok then what about HIVE? Should I stop here, or continue building my HP stake? Short answer there is no stoppage whatsoever and I will continue to build my HP stake. Have a look at my current Hive curation rewards that has increased drastically.
At the start of this month, my HIVE curation rewards used to be around 10 - 15 HIVE and now its almost 40+ HIVE daily. The above image reflects the same. What this means is that the more HP stake one has the better it gets for the curation rewards and I also noticed that curating is far much better than delegating your hive power. I will talk about this subject seprately in one of my other blogs. For now it is evident that I am earning a good chunk of HP via the curation and cherry on top being the author rewards that is further adding up in building my HP. Roughly I am able to add 100+ HP considering the curation, author and other passive income streams that I have generated here on the HIVE Blockchain. Hence, the point here is that when I am able to generate this much #HIVE, there should be no stoppage. I will continue building and compounding my HP stake this is for sure. Not setting specific targets here for now and the foscus shifts towards buiild the HBD stake. Accumulate as much as HIVE as possible for now and wait for the right opportunity to strike to get all those HIVE converted to HBD and stake them all. Its going to be that SIMPLE - but when that moment will come is difficult to predict. For now, it is about staying consistent and steadily building. That's a serious amount of hive. Just a same it hardly adds up to anything of value these days. But you can clearly see the compounding factor of it all when it comes to accumulation of the hive token.

Great. Highly motivated by your post. The reason for more Hive in the rewards is also because of the Hive price right now which is low. But yeah I see my curation rewards also increasing.

HBD stack is a good idea to go for, and its 15% APR is nice. I know that curation is between 8-10% but how can I check my curation in April?
So you are earning ~40 Hive daily through curation by 200k HP?
You can check on peakd analytics page. Not sure if it will go back to April data or not but you can try. With regards to curation I have 11k HP delegated. So I would say roughly 40 to 45 HIVE and some times even more with 190K+ HP.. Cheers

Hi, I am totally with you on the compounding effect, personally i also made a significant power up this month, but I pushed a lot into leo projects as well, a bit into each token. lstr, surge, leo and a 12 month premium sub.

The progress you've made in one month is incredible. You've done a lot of Hive Power Up, which is fantastic. Your next goal should probably be 250k. I'm doing some Power Down at the moment because I need cash. Once I've sorted out my expenses and stabilized, I'll start buying a certain amount of Hive every month. My goal is to earn 500 HP monthly from curation. Of course, I'm far from that right now, but I'll get there someday.

Before starting Power Down, I would set goals for myself every month. I would set goals not only in terms of HP but also in terms of comments, and every month I would try to predict how many cents Hive would be worth the following month.

In many places, on chain swaps, staking rewards and HBD interest can be taxable income, so keep recrods and check your local rules.
Stay digital, sure, just don't assume it’s magic fredeom money.
I pay local taxes on goods and services paid in local fiat currency when the banking system us used.
If I don't use fiat on ramps or off ramps, I'm effectively not participating in any economic activity that is taxable in this jurisdiction.
Local rules don't vanish, they just don't apply to assets that are outside of its jurisdiction and cannot be tied to my identity.
Also, I lost all my cryptocurrency in an unfortunate boating accident.
Have not withdrawn but I have declared that I do hodl crypto. And when I will withdraw will take opinion from my CA. cheers
Smart move; declaring your holdings early makes things easier. Just remember in India each transfer is a taxable event, even HIVE to HBD, so track FMV on swap and gains at 30% plus cess. Curation rewards is usually treated as income on receipt, then that value becomes your cost when you later sell or convert. Keep simple logs of buy price, dates, tx links, and 1% TDS mainly applies on exchange trades, on-chain P2P trades often dont trigger it, but you’re still liable if there’s tax :)
