More details about the Giggle Academy are being provided recently by the former CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, which is an educational project Changpeng Zhao has been working on since his departure from the cryptocurrency industry.
The Giggle Academy team currently consists of 10 members according to Changpeng Zhao. Some are working full time and some part time while all are working remotely.
In addition to casual small talk, the team meet three times a week. The hiring process is still going on with Changpeng Zhao interviewing multiple times a week and looking to built a team of 15 people in the start.
As per the remarks made by the ex-CEO of Binance, the group finished the first phonetics (English) course within the training program's parameters and commenced the course's production.
In an announcement made recently by Changpeng Zhao, announcing plans for the education project aiming to provide children with free access to education with the use of new techniques. Giggle Academy, which is a non-profit organization will not generate any income and will leverage gamification and an end-user-adaptive curriculum.
The goal will be to offer all students free basic education (grades 1-12).
Amid the ongoing legal challenges for Changpeng Zhao in the United States, the launch of this new project comes.
The leading crypto exchange, Binance was part of a $4.3 billion settlement with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) last year.
On November 21, Changpeng Zhao pleaded guilty to money laundering charges and on April 30, he will be sentenced according to court documents.
