Men often feel constant pressure to appear strong, so few things reach a man's heart like a woman who wants to nurse him back to health.

Healing is a deeply intimate, selfless act, because a lesser woman will watch a sick man lose stature and, as reverence fades, quietly plan her exit—failing the soul's test to love when he's needed most rather than growing to disdain him for needing more.

Only the woman who sees that burden as a privilege—an opportunity to honor the man who once cared for her—passes the test.

Others abandon him at his lowest, or linger out of guilt just long enough to ensure survival as a way to keep a clean conscience, then depart claiming "a loss of spark" as if his purpose were only to provoke her excitement; when life changes, the infatuation with strength is exposed as an illusion.
