Not creepy at all ! I have about half of my HP delegated out to various accounts and particularly for bringing in LEO and EDS, so I guess thats why my curation is way down. I do try to manage my voting power and make sure I am manually curating as well, but yes - author rewards is certainly where its at for me. I get way more from that, than I do from anything else I'm doing here on HIVE.
