You've said a lot of things about what to do to make hive both successful and unsuccessful and I could relate really well with all you've said.
Like you suggested, I think it's a brilliant idea to start promoting communities on hive instead of hive itself as this will help people make the perfect choice for themselves unlike when it seems like they have a thousand and one options to pick from.
And yes, hive should be every user's business and not some, that way it will help us contribute as we should to it. Speaking about how to make hive successful is a work for everyone and not some.
