Find the pages that already rank on Google and keep linking to them when you create supporting content.

Yep. Probably you are talking of external links.

All I'm saying is that SEO is done at the domain level.

So if there's a leofinance.io page that already ranks for a term, create a supporting post and link to it.

You don't want to outrank it, you want to pass link juice to the old one.
