RE: What You Can Do To Help The LBI Project (Part 2)

in LeoFinance3 years ago

Great ! thank you for the update.
Regarding the Hive delegation to lbi-token please correct me if I understand this wrongly.
Current delegation to leo.voter is returning around 15% APR paid daily, if instead we delegate to lbi-token we can expect this interest to be part of lbi appreciation but there won't be any daily payment done right ?

Actually, if you look at it @hykss, and follow it all the way through, it works like this.

The HP delegated to LBI is used to curate. That provided HP to the LBI account which is then sent to the Leo-voter account to earn the 16% APR.

Thus, delegating HP to LBI ends up paying in multiple ways.

  • The HP earned from curating is part of the value pool for LBI.
  • The LEO earned after the new HP is delegated to Leovoter is part of LBI
  • Plus any appreciation on either is realized in the value of LBI.

It is layered so it pays out in multiple ways.

Very clear that delegating to lbi-token will add this layer of curation’s benefits from lbi before to enjoy it from Leo.voter.
Thank you for taking the time to come back on this comment !
Should this explanation be part of the main post ? ;)

Correct. Leo-voter is offering a direct payout for HP.

With LBI, it is a matter of trying to grow the community's holdings while also rewarding the people that are curated by the lbi account.

Ultimately, it seeks to grow the entirety of it all and pull more towards the LEO/LBI community.

Understood and that makes sense to me.
Thank you for clarifying.
