So as far as I understood, we are supposed to keep mixing the elements until we have something precious. However, it's also likely not to be able to mint something at all. Am I right? 😅

You are right, if you hit a wrong combo all your elements are just gone (and so is all the Aether and Wax it cost to get them)...
