I encountered a post about Elon/Twitter's move of unblocking Trump's Twitter and it made me realize how centralized social media can easily do what they wish on one's account. It reminded me of the time when I was locked out of mine for allegedly not complying to Twitter's terms and conditions.
This also brought me to the problems and growing concerns of people's YouTube channels getting suspended. Imagine working on your account and building it for months or years and then you wake up one day and yourself being locked out of it and you simply have no other option but to wait hoping it will be given back to you.
Decentralized, Full Account Ownership & Control
Thankfully, on a decentralized platform like here on the Hive blockchain, I believe that will never happen. No one else can take control over our accounts, cancel them nor prevent us from accessing them unless we lose our keys to someone else then that's entirely our fault, isn't it?
That is because here on Hive, we have true ownership and we have 100% control of our own accounts, data or contents and it truly is a censorship-resistant blockchain.
For as long as we have our private keys secured, we have nothing to worry about someone else shutting down or suspending our accounts. Our contents may get downvoted by others on extreme cases, but nobody will ever take them away from us. We have full custody of our own wallets too. And these are some of the things I love about Hive. We have that kind of protection that isn't offered by any other entity or platform outside of this blockchain.
Hive Keeps Building and Scaling
In addition, developers are continuing to build which we are seeing from new features and applications that are coming out on different frontends.
LeoFinance for instance have rolled out some on its ecosystem this year alone --- Threads, Multi-Token Bridge, Liquidity Pools for HBD and HIVE etc on Polygon and on Binance Smart Chain and still coming up with more.
Theycallmedan of Speak Network also mentioned quite a few times that they will continue to build to make Hive keep advancing and scaling.
Advanced Technology and Many DApps
With Hive's technology being far ahead than any other out there per view and statement by Blocktrades, we can only imagine it will advance and expand even farther and further.
It has already a variety of decentralized applications - games, NFT, DeFi, socials, video DApps and others on its ecosystem giving us additional options and opportunities, thus we are not limited to the blogging side of things.
And as this blockchain keep scaling, we can expect more projects and developments to come around.
Strong & Thriving Community
And yes, Hive has a strong community that keeps it alive and thriving through activities and transactions.
These and many others are some of the reasons why I'm so confident and bullish about Hive. Having ditched FB in the last few years, this amazing blockchain has become my true decentralized social media on Web 3 and it will be so for as long as I'm able and breathing and the nodes are running.

Hive is a sleeping giant especially when compared to this wobbling web 2.0 platforms like Twitter and FB. I also got banned a couple of times. Grateful that I found Hive, now I can really build without the thought of getting banned or suspended.
It is and congratulations on building your Web 3 account on Hive :) We don't have the risk of having our account cancelled by anyone.
