One of the headlines in the last 3 days is the news that CNN Philippines, a franchise of the US-based news channel, shutting down its operation.
That was confirmed with the announcement yesterday that the TV network is indeed turning its final page and no longer be operating starting tomorrow, 31st of January.
The franchise has been in operation in the country for 9 years and its contract is until the end of 2024 but it ended earlier. The closure is said to be due to financial losses that were worsened by the pandemic years.
