Yes, that's true. I did the same thing probably because I didn't really understand its power so just played around with it (BTC specifically), used to pay bills and stuff :)

My eldest son was used removing the scales off my eyes and helping me see the missing pieces of the puzzle.
Well, things change over time and it's nothing to beat yourself over. I didn't give crypto much thought until a few years ago too.
