Experimenting with the solopreneur life lately

A solopreneur goes to an office, sits alone, and makes money

But the question arises: is this how it should always be?

Here are the learnings so far:

The good:

  • Full control — income potential tied to planning and execution; not dependent on someone else dictating how work is done
  • Efficient and focused — no long commute (office 12 minutes away), no useless meetings; ~4 really focused hours can cover a full day's work, often finishing by mid-afternoon
  • Flexible — calls and schedule can be arranged freely; lunch or golf at 2pm are options

The bad:

  • Missing collaborative energy and idea flow; in-person chats spark inspiration that doesn't happen alone
  • Limited scalability — current model feels capped around ~$40k/month; a different approach will be required to pursue a larger business
  • Boring — the setup feels mastered and unstimulating; hard to stay mentally engaged forever

Will the solopreneur path continue?

The likely answer is no

Next steps are uncertain — maybe hiring another writer or working with clients in person more often
