Almost all AI researchers I've heard in interviews are stating that #AGI or #ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) will "eliminate all diseases". A company will most probably launch a "PanacAI" product.

Do they really believe in a "perfect & timeless world", where what was born doesn't decay nor dies? From whatever angle, be it the thermodynamics laws or biology / life as we know it, I'd tag that pretention as an illusion, and a quite dangerous one

In my opinion, the same way bacteries or viruses exposed to selective pressure become more infectious and resistant, getting rid of one disease through AI will make other 2 or 3 more sophisticated diseases pop up - through non engineered biological processes, or through AI-assisted pipelines

That's one of the many frontiers between responsible AI models usage & development, and #transhumanist ideology, that wants #alien intelligences (in the sense that Yuval #Harari uses) and #cyborgs to definitively replace #humanity

#ai #panacea #panacAI

We will asymptotically approach perfect health, but actually achieving it is highly unlikely!

There can for sure be immense improvements in mankind's health thanks to some AI-driven models. At the same time, it would require for them to a) be managed by benevolent players (not Big Pharma or Big Tech) and b) to act in a very different political context from today's, where governments are unable even to admit the health disasters they promote (see the COVID vaxxed generation falling like flies, dead at 10, 20 or 30 y.o.).

Good to take into account a different view on AI use...
