Privacy coins face EU ban under new AML rules starting 2027
As part of a sweeping overhaul to clear the path for their freedom shattering #CBDC #euro, the European Soviet Union (ESU) has announced plans to #ban #privacy coins & #anonymous wallets by July 1, 2027.
The proposal means that crypto service providers, exchanges, and even financial institutions would be banned from offering services that don’t collect customer identification (through #KYC - «Kill Your Confidentiality»). The EU is targeting specifically coins like #Monero ($XMR), #Zcash ($ZEC), or $DASH.
The regulation also imposes tighter controls on crypto transfers. If the transaction is over 1,000 euros, the identity of the sender and receiver will need to be verified. It’s clear that the #EU lawmakers want to lock up the cryptosphere in the #Ponzi centralized fiat banking boundaries.
