Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners.
Brawl fights
There were 4 that I won, 1 that I lost, and 1 that I won due to surrender. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.
You can find the first match here. I won this match but I was expecting to lose this match. Placing Living Lava in the last spot saved me from all the melee damage my opponent did.
You can find the second match here. I won this match and I was able to win through my use of a healing card. I am just glad that I didn't miss any attacks and this let me beat my opponent.
You can find the third match here. I won this match and I was a bit worried due to the snipe. I was able to finish off my opponent due to my damage.
You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match and I couldn't do much against the extra armor my opponent's summoner gave. The extra speed on his side also helped my opponent move first and I couldn't beat my opponent because of it.
You can find the fifth match here. I won this match and my lineup was a big counter against my opponent. The summoner negated the magic increase from my opponent's summoner. Any damage my tank would get would get healed from the life leech and I had the void armor tank in the 2nd spot to take advantage of the snipe ruleset.
Brawl Result
I choose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 5 wins and 1 losses. It was a great brawl and I won a majority of my matches My rewards for the brawl were 3,063 merits and 18.213SPS in the 2 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards so I am guessing that we placed 2nd or 3rd place. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls.
Conclusion
My performance was great this time around. The SPS and merit rewards are up and our entire guild didn't miss any matches. So I think we placed 2nd place this time around. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in. So I think it is worthwhile for people to participate in these brawls. My current brawls are in the two star category.
