In the past month, I have started playing two idle games here on Hive. These two games are Terracore and Golem Overlord. I thought it would be a good idea to track how well I am doing in regard to both of these games over time and how profitable it has been so far. I like these games because you don't have to do anything but wait and collect every now and then. So in a way, these games are perfect for someone like me who doesn't have that much time. I guess DCity could also be considered an idle game but I haven't bothered with that game as much.
Terracore
Terracore is the first idle game that I played and you can read my first impressions here. Overall, I put most of my efforts into increasing my stats. As it is right now, I have put in most of my SCRAP earned into my stats and I haven't sold that much SCRAP outside of that. From the profit that I did take, I would say that I have earned around 6-7 HIVE back. My initial cost was 19.5 Hive so I am only 33% or so of my profit earned so far.
A few things have changed since the update but the battle screen is now updated so I can't really see the lower stats player anymore. I have a feeling it is based on the score or scrap earned by each person. So I have to start upgrading my stats again to stand a chance in battles. Either way, I will take some profits from time to time and it looks like the price of SCRAP has also stabilized. I have heard some rumors about NFTs being added to the game in Discord so I am waiting to see what happens on that end.
Golem Overlord
Golem Overlord is the second idle game that I played and you can read my first impressions here. For this game, I was taking profits more to pay off the initial costs and when I wrote up my first impressions, I already recouped 15 of the 20 Hive invested. Since then, I invest most of my PART into my account and sold a few more PART while keeping my staked/burned percentage above 75%. In all, I think I earned around 10 Hive from selling the PART tokens and this allowed me to recoup my initial investment with a little left over to help me in Terracore.
I put my primary focus on getting level 7 algorithms so I could try to unlock the shorter cooldowns and this will allow me to change the collection time later. As of right now, I have that algorithm level but I am lacking the PART to burn and unlock it. There have been a lot of things that have changed since my first impressions and there is a guild option. However, I have yet to join one so far but if anyone has one, I wouldn't mind joining it.
Conclusion
It's been a decent time across both idle games and I think the token prices of both games have kind of stabilized. Golem Overlord seems like the more profitable option out of the two and I was able to recoup my initial investment there. I am behind a bit in Terracore but I do believe that I will recoup that eventually. Both games are slightly different in the way they play but you don't have to pay much attention to it unless it's time to collect the tokens.
Have you started playing Terracore or Golem Overlord yet?

It's quite profitable if you've really earned a sizeable chunk of your intial investment, wow. I only play splinterlands though, it'll be really difficult to keep up with this, but nice stats wow.
Yea, one game is very profitable and the other will earn me some slowly over time. I am guessing that I will probably take out a little bit each week and that slower game will be a profit over a few weeks.

I recently just started playing Golem overlord like 3-4 days ago. It's a nice game, and I'm quite close to getting back my initial investment (today or tomorrow I should have broken even)
I've heard of terracore, but yet to start playing that. Seems like a nice game as well.

It is a nice game and the price of PART has been holding up quite well. Terracore is a bit harder to breakeven in and you will probably have to get used to getting attacked a lot until you upgrade your stats.

It looks like you are doing fairly well with the game, the UI looks nice I think. Just too much on my plate now to try any of them out, perhaps in the near future I will.

Well, they are fairly simple for now. It's basically login, collect and maybe do some battles. You may need to level up stats first so you don't get attacked as much though.
