The discrepancies can happen but having more interest compared to what you have on the sheet is good enough. In my opinion, it's hard to get it exactly unless you add HBD at the same time every single week.

I don't think they can be matched exactly. Normally, interest on HBD in savings accrues with every block, even if it's paid only when movements to or out of savings happen. You can't simulate that with a weekly progress sheet without some discrepancies.
