More applications on HIVE is the best way to grab more users and I completely agree with this. Though I think most people don't think HBD as a earning opportunity outside of HIVE due to the options out there. Even some of the biggest HBD holders in the savings got out of it to invest in better opportunities (HE or power up for curation).

Well HBD might not be so juicy, I was just trying to cite a point that it might be an area or angle of concentration for people who Wants to explore some other aspects of hive.
