Basically they analyze the average carbon intensity of the companies that the portfolio is exposed to and turn it into an index

Yea but I see no point in doing so since any BTC you get is pretty much the same as another BTC (same value). I just think that this is pointless.

It is pointless but carbon neutrality is something that's gaining importance in the eyes of investors so the managers are trying to jump in that train. It's all about marketing, in the end.

Does anybody monitor how carbon neutral the banking system is? NYSE? Visa? MC?
It seems this is only an issue with Bitcoin.
