It's good to finally have a date set as I'm still tinkering with my city. Looks like it will be easier for smaller players to earn HIVE as well. The combo cards should make things interesting and now I know why the SIM price is going up! :)

Yea things should be moving along but I wonder how everything will proceed from here. Also wondering if they can revive the dwindling user base.

Is that game still enticing or it is getting old?
Are people being turned off by it?
I havent seen nearly as many posts as in the past.

Its not as enticing anymore since the high taxes lowered the ROI by a ton. It's more of a grind but I think even at current rate, its about a 100% ROI in SIM. So unless you bought in near the top, I don't think people should be extremely worried.

So once again taxes kill something?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes taxes killed it. Around the time it first has a ton of taxes, there was a bunch of DCity politics posts but it failed. So the high taxes have continued to this day.

I guess it benefits someone to have them.
Probably not the newer people.

I'm also curious who benefits from all these high taxes that people complain about. I mean games are supposed to be fun

The people will all the population cards since they get HIVE by stocking up on a ton of SIM or from ranking rewards.

Well it appears those who are involved with a lot on the line like them.
I dont know much about the game but it seems like it is tougher for the newer people.
I could be wrong though since I dont play it.

I didn't even know about this game. I have heard about one that is about monsters or something like that, it used to be called steem monsters I think. It is a card game in the style of Legends of Runeterra, I don't know if you have played it before, the truth is a good game to pass the time and without the need of such a fast internet connection.

Forgot to add that DCity is just an investment type of game. You buy NFTs to build your city and that city automatically generates crypto/NFTs. It requires an upfront investment like Splinterlands.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well, I guess you play and make money at the same time, but it comes at a price.

Splinterlands (previously steemmonsters) is the game you are talking about. It is more similar to magic the gathering and winning fights/tournaments can get you crypto. You don't need a good internet connection because you got 3 minutes to place your team. The only thing requiring the internet is looking for an opponent and then uploading your final team.
